Performance Culture
A Performance Culture is the culture that exists in a high-performance team. Performance Culture is built on the foundation of serving customers with excellence and treating teammates with the highest level of care and respect. It goes beyond selling products and services to providing solutions. Even though the term “providing solutions” can be overused, it is the best way to express the end-result objective by people that work in a Performance Culture. They are problem solvers. Whether in sales, agronomy, accounting, operations, application, customer relations, the attitude of everyone is to solve problems. A Performance Culture business is very different from its competition because the depth of relationship with customers allows for a deeper understanding of needs and problems, and it forms an interdependency between the customer and their dealer. Interdependency creates loyalty and reduces price sensitivity largely because most solutions are unique and tailor-made to solve the problems that are discovered.

Building a High-Performance Team
Less than 10% of the 200 businesses we have worked with started as high-performing teams. To change, this process starts with understanding what a high-performing team looks like.
Attributes of a high-performance team:
Purposeful vision for success
All teammates focus on the team objectives
Leadership comes from every person, in different times and circumstances
No single person’s interests come before the team’s
Team members support and defend each other
Communication is effective, efficient and frequent
Everyone does their job and understands other people’s jobs
Healthy conflict occurs, always about ideas and concepts, never personal
Effort and discipline are continuous
A performance culture is established with common purpose, and consistent work ethic
“The secret to getting ahead
is getting started.”
